Children and Water

With the truck packed and ready to go I was thinking about the men at the men’s center in El Porvenir. This trip south was for them and to provide them with 120lb of chicken for the party to celebrate the two years in the business of saving lost souls. Leslie and I have worked with this center from its start. With two old trailers and a tarp pulled between them made the makeshift kitchen and housing for the center. New year in Mexico

Friday morning found the old Chevy heading south to Mexico. At 4:00 am is when I pulled out of my drive in Escondido for the long drive. I arrived at the border at 6:00 am and the guard walked over to see what I had in the back of the truck. Today I had 20 bundles of shingles for the rehab center at Blue Mountain.
